Allison’s therapy style is warm, curious and collaborative. She offers a safe space for you to explore your past and current experiences. Depending on your goals, you will have opportunities to learn new strategies for changing or accepting difficult situations, emotions and thoughts. You will also have opportunities to use mindfulness to engage the body for deep, sustainable healing and growth.
In addition to providing therapy for adults around difficult life transitions and relationship issues, Allison specializes in supporting people with trauma, eating disorders, anxiety and depression. She provides therapy for pregnancy and new parenthood, as well as couples therapy for new parents. Allison is experienced in offering therapy for artists, creative professionals and individuals in high stress careers.
Prior to becoming a therapist, Allison worked in education and taught creative writing in academic, treatment and community settings. She holds a BA from Brown University, an MFA from CalArts, and an MSW from UCLA.
