Therapy for Depression
When Depression hits…
It can feel like you enter a fog. Things that used to be fun are no longer fun. Relationships can start to feel choppy and disconnected. You can get stuck in your head and start to feel like nothing matters anymore, and nothing you do will make a difference. All of a sudden it feels like everyone you know is moving on without you. And you? Well, you’d rather hole up and wait it out.
Therapy can help
Depression is rough, but therapy can help. We are experienced in working with people who have gone through depressions on and off for a long time, as well as people who are dealing with a depression that has set in after a sudden loss or change, like a death, job loss or breakup.
We offer holistic treatment for depression, meaning that we look at the historic, environmental, biological and psychological causes of depression. Depending on your needs and goals, your therapy will include some of the following:
Mindfulness based therapy to help you reconnect harness the healing power of the body
CBT and DBT to help you work directly with unhelpful thoughts and overwhelming feelings
Depth Work that helps you better understand yourself
Values Exploration and support with existential concerns
