Pregnancy is anything but simple. Whether you have been trying to get pregnant or were taken by surprise, your feelings about this moment are probably pretty complicated. We offer compassionate, deeply human support for clients who are struggling with pregnancy symptoms, perinatal anxiety and depression, or ambivalence about connecting with the pregnancy. We also specialize in supporting clients with eating disorders and body image concerns who are struggling with the body changes and nutritional demands associated with pregnancy.

How PERINATAL Therapy With Us Works

We meet you where you are with compassion, spaciousness, and real tools.

  • First and foremost, therapy with us is a space where you can share about your thoughts, feelings and experiences without needing to worry about being judged. We can help you slow it down and make sense of what is going on for you during this wild time of your life. You’ll have space to talk through your changing identity, your fears, needs, and anything else that is coming up during this transitional time.

  • We help you cultivate practices that anchor you in the present moment so you can find pockets of ease within your body, find manageable ways to feel connected to your pregnancy, and reclaim calm.

  • Sometimes we need some concrete tools for working with distressing thoughts. CBT helps you challenge or manage intrusive thoughts and pull out of spirals of worry or guilt. It gives you tools to test what your mind is saying and choose what’s helpful. For clients grappling with OCD, we incorporate I-CBT and ERP, depending on your needs and preferences.

  • TRM is a mindfulness based therapy that can be really helpful for pregnant clients with a history of pregnancy loss, complex trauma or sexual trauma.
